Prior to VAR, Jon was at Barclays Private Bank & Wealth Management, where he was a member of the investment team overseeing several billion pounds of AUM invested in concentrated long only equity portfolios. Prior to Barclays, he spent just under 20 years in hedge funds, spending the first 8 years of his career as an analyst and portfolio manager at Marble Bar Asset Management, a UK-based equity long/short hedge fund with peak AUM of $6.5bn; he then spent 11 years at Silphium Asset Management, a UK-based multi-strategy hedge fund that manages part of the assets of a middle-eastern sovereign wealth fund, where he managed a low volatility fundamental equity long/short portfolio. He is a CFA Charterholder, and holds a BSc in Investment & Financial Risk Management from City University.
